European Mobility Week Award Ceremony and Workshop
Brussels, 23-24 March 2015

With 2.013 cities participating in 2014, the European Mobility Week has become the largest global event dedicated to sustainable mobility. This significant number of participants shows that local authorities play a crucial role in helping citizens to move around their towns quickly, safely and without polluting the air they breathe.

Every year, the European Mobility Week Award recognises the city with the best achievements, in particular in the area of introducing concrete measures encouraging a shift towards sustainable urban mobility. This award, together with the European Commission award for excellence in urban mobility planning, will be presented jointly by European Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc and Director-General for the Environment Karl Falkenberg the evening of Monday 23 March 2015.

Accompanying the award ceremony there is a two-day workshop dedicated to the exchange of best practice and training sessions for national coordinators as well as for representatives of municipalities. The purpose is to encourage an exchange of ideas and experiences to help make this year's event even better and more successful than that of 2014!
